Dear Char Pizza Community,
We are excited to announce the launch of our NuMarket campaign! This campaign is a chance for us to reach out to all of you who have been a part of our journey and let you in on the full story of what we are working on and where we are going.
NuMarket is a crowdfunding platform that makes it easy for food and beverage businesses to raise funds for their community in exchange for credits, specifically, 120% of the amount they contributed. With your help, some of the building blocks along the way can be funded and we can inch closer to our goal of opening a dine-in pizzeria in Philadelphia by August of 2024.
For the past year and a half, Viraj has been mixing every batch of dough by hand due to him not having access to a proper dough mixer. Thousands of pounds of dough have been mixed by hand - a task that could be done by a mixer in a fraction of the time and physical effort currently needed. It would be hard to find many people out there who have mixed more dough by hand than Viraj has. Any money that you are willing to contribute will go towards the costs of the mixer, its installation, and additional operational needs like fridge space. These items are all key pieces that will allow Char to enhance its product, grow its business, and establish a strong foundation to the pop-up business - a foundation that will pave the way to achieving the goal of a brick-and-mortar pizzeria.
Char Pizza started as a passion project of Viraj's since 8th grade, and it has now snowballed into something much bigger than he ever could have imagined. His dedication to creating the best pizza possible has led to the creation of Char Pizza, and we are thrilled to be launching this campaign with NuMarket to help fund our goal of opening a dine-in pizzeria in Philadelphia.
