Dear Rebel Rebel community,
We have some exciting news to share with you! After three years of operating in the liminal licensure space provided to us by the state during Covid, we are proud to announce that Wild Child is moving, growing, and making it official! We are opening a bottle shop!
If you’ve visited our little corner of Bow Market, you know that Wild Child has provided a space not only for to-go bottle sales and culinary ephemera, but for wine school, parties, queer knitting circles, trivia nights, tarot readings, and just about every other out-of-the-box community event we could dream up. Our wine club thrives there, and our recently reintroduced book + bottle club has rocketed back into the world at full speed. Y’all love it, and we love y’all. And since it’s likely the state will be nixing our ability to legally sell you bottles to go in a few months, we’ve been searching for a permanent home for Wild Child—and we finally found it! Right in our own backyard (but like, literally in our actual backyard). This new space will more than double our square footage, allow us to do even bigger events, AND we’ll be able to expand our current wine inventory—we’ll even be able to stage an ecommerce platform, making shopping and browsing our selection of natural wines even easier for you. This dream has been years in the making, and we are SO THRILLED to be making it a reality!
We are looking to raise $35,000 to purchase the liquor license we currently have under agreement. Your contribution to this campaign will go directly to this purchase, allowing us to sell unlimited quantities of beer and wine, set up ecommerce and delivery services, and expand our wine club to include shipping beyond our current radius. We’ll also be able to offer more robust customer rewards programs. And because our new space is spitting distance from our current location, all the same integrated programming we enjoy with Rebel Rebel and the rest of Bow Market will still be possible. It’s truly the best of both worlds.
